Dass ich mir diese beiden Schmuckstücke extra aus den USA schicken habe lassen (sie wurden zwar in England hergestellt, aber für ein amerik. Magazin), mag vielleicht leicht verrückt klingen - aber dzt. ist der Dollar schwach und die Stemmeisen kann ich noch meinen Ur-Ur-Enkeln vererben ;-)

This is an old 3/8" firmer wood chisel measuring 9½" overall and the blade 4¼" (there is a name on the blade but I'm unable to make it out)
It's brass ferruled, ash handled, with some marks, and the very slightest hint of the start of 'mushrooming' at the end
Its a nice old tool with a smidgen of character

This is an old 7/8" J.W.Ward, Sheffield, firmer chisel (chamfered edge to blade end) measuring approximately 10" overall, blade portion 4½", with brass ferrule and ash handle
The blade is sound but in a used condition with some very slight staining/corrosion and the handle shows just normal 'day to day' wear marks
A nice solid tool which is usable straightaway (once its sharpened) and certainly very collectable

This is an old Sorby 1¼" firmer chisel (12¼" overall, blade portion 6") with steel ferrule and ash handle
Overall its sound/solid, but in a used condition, with some staining/corrosion to the blade, which is stamped with the military crows foot emblem/1943. The handle bears the usual day to day marks, but unfortunately there is some portions missing at the end/slight mushrooming
A nice old tool (despite the handle damage) which is usable and certainly collectable

This is an old Thos Wales & Sons, Sheffield 1¼" bevel edge chisel measuring 10½" overall, blade 4¾" with boxwood handle, steel ferrule and washer/shocker to the upper portion of the handle
The handle is firm and solid with normal 'day to day' marks, small 1" crack at the end and the blade has very, very slight stains/marks
A really nice genuine & solid chisel from a quality manufacturer

This I believe, is an old Wm Marples (the name is very faint/nearly illegible) 1/4" mortice style chisel measuring 12" overall, blade 6¼" with ash handle (flat portion on one side) and brass ferrule
The handle is firm and solid with normal 'day to day' wear marks, whilst the blade is stained and pitted
Despite the slight faults its a nice genuine chisel from a quality manufacturer (I'm assuming)

Its obviously been used, is stained, corroded and has various knock/marks but generally its in good solid condition and as you'd expect from an item of this nature/size, its virtually indestructible and in reality just needs a handle
